Sign and Label Activity!

Attention Parents:

We have been learning a lot about signs, labels and environmental print in our class. We will be reading a book called I Read Signs and creating a class sign and label book. I would like each child to bring three signs and/or labels to class by Tuesday, Sept. 18. Examples of signs and labels include: well known cereal labels, snacks, or foods (Lucky Charms, Cheerios, fruit snacks, McDonalds, etc.) and pictures of environmental print or signs in the community (stop signs, cross walk signs, exit signs, etc.) As long as your child can recognize the sign or label, I will accept it. Please cut out the labels and signs, so they will fit inside an envelope with your child’s name on the front. I will collect these labels on Tuesday and we will create a class book on Wednesday.
